ANDERSON RIVER - SPUZZUM GOLD CORRIDOR
THE "ANDY ONE" PROSPECT
The “Andy One” prospect is a one cell tenure, comprising 20.91 hectares, and lies adjacent to Anderson River, 32 kilometers north-northeast of Hope, approximately 6 ¾ kilometers east of Spuzzum. Access is via 17 ½ kilometres of forestry road, leading eastward from its intersect with BC Highway #1, immediately north of the Alexandria Bridge.
This property is situate along the eastern margin of the Hozameen Fault, a gold-bearing structure extending from Boston Bar in the north, to well into Washington State, south of the International Border. The claim was staked in 2006 to investigate positive metallic readings along a number of sulphide-bearing quartz stringer veins, of which bears strong indication of being a precious metals deposit. Massive blebs of fine pyrite disseminated throughout the folded country rock, compliments the massive array of quartz veinlettes, ranging from spider to 6 mm in thickness, some of which share bedding with decayed sulphides. This showing remains under further investigation, as does other areas within the claim’s boundaries.
