Higher fees will only serve to reduce the exploration of our natural resources. A big mistake IMO.

The new regulations seem to be a knee jerk reaction to a few idiots who sit about snapping up claims on their computer in the hopes of selling them off to large mining enterprises. A limit on claims that c an be held at any one time could easily remedy this situation.
Outlandish fees continues to undermine the freedoms we Canadians are supposed to have under the rights and freedoms act.
These regulations will do nothing short than encourage civil disobediance by otherwise law abiding citizens!!

In a difficult world economy I would think that discouraging prospecting and mine development are a backward approach. The big guys want fee increases to discourage small independent prospectors and miners. Big corporations spending huge dollars now sounds good but historically the results are always negative.
Leave the fee structure alone.

We, as Canadians, are already taxed enough. Please do not add large increases to our load. Most small scale miners are not making big money here.
