Higher fees will only serve to reduce the exploration of our natural resources. A big mistake IMO.

The new regulations seem to be a knee jerk reaction to a few idiots who sit about snapping up claims on their computer in the hopes of selling them off to large mining enterprises. A limit on claims that c an be held at any one time could easily remedy this situation.
Outlandish fees continues to undermine the freedoms we Canadians are supposed to have under the rights and freedoms act.
These regulations will do nothing short than encourage civil disobediance by otherwise law abiding citizens!!

Seriously, now we are being discouraged from being able to get out and enjoy our own back yard.
Please, no increases.

In a difficult world economy I would think that discouraging prospecting and mine development are a backward approach. The big guys want fee increases to discourage small independent prospectors and miners. Big corporations spending huge dollars now sounds good but historically the results are always negative.
Leave the fee structure alone.

We, as Canadians, are already taxed enough. Please do not add large increases to our load. Most small scale miners are not making big money here.

Maybe it's time to send these government commissars, their bosses and the corporate sycophants on an extended work experience trip to Japan to help them clean up that reactor. A few days in the field ought to have some effect. Who knows, they might come home radiating a whole new attitude!

Once again short term gains for some peoples political careers and big business interests take precedence over everything else. Gov't. likes to use the business' they are catering to as the "experts" on policy relating to their own industry.
Let's stop these shenanigans now!

When Governments only talk to Big Business when they make changes all they do is create a big mess that ultimately stifles the development of new small business. In short, lost employment opportunities!
